Dollar Days at the National Aquarium of Baltimore

The National Aquarium of Baltimore is hosting their annual Dollar Days event, where admission to the aquarium is only $1. This is an amazing deal considering the regular admission fares are $17.95 for a child and $28.95 for an adult. (Save almost $90 for a family of 4)

December 6 & 7, 2008 from 10 AM- 4 PM

Here is some information from National Aquarium of Baltimore regarding the Dollar Days.

• Tickets are limited.
• Lines will be long, so please dress for the weather!
• Consider leaving your stroller at home or in the trunk of your car.

Because of the escalators and people-movers inside the Aquarium, strollers cannot be used inside. If you do bring a stroller, Aquarium staff will store it for you and provide a backpack or frontpack child-carrier.

I have attended the Dollar Days a couple of times over the last few years and can attest to the long lines and no strollers policy. It is very worth it to be at the aquarium up to 1/2 before opening time (which is at 10:00 AM). The Aquarium will get more crowded and busy as the days goes on. By the way, during the Dollar Days there will be no dolphin shows.

The Knack Program at Michaels

Looking for something fun & exciting to do with your children over the weekend (especially those cold and rainy days)? Look no more, have your kids participate in the Knack Program at Michael's.

What is it? The Knack is a new program that lets your kids explore their creativity through a wealth of great ideas, projects and crafts designed just for them.

The Knack program offers fun on Saturdays for kids ages 5-12 at Michael's. They will create their own craft for only $5 per child, including supplies. Sessions are 30 minutes long and begin at 10:00 for the next couple of hours.
