Here is the scenario:
Buy: (3) $25.00 American Express Gift Cards @ $75.00
Pay: (3) x $3.95 (activation fee)= $11.85
Pay Total: $86.85 Out of Pocket
Get $10.00 ECB & $75.00 worth of Gift Cards
Submit for $15.00 Gas Card with Mail in Rebate (+ Postage cost $0.42)
Net profit $12.73
Some Notes: The American Express gift cards purchased can be used one hour after the purchase, same as cash. You may not purchase the Gift Cards using ECB. I am not sure at this time if you can use a $/$$ (such as $10/$50) to pay for the activation fees. Please let me know if you have tried this. The $15 Gas Card can be used at any gas station that accepts AMEX. The $15 Gas Card you will receive is valid for 90 days from the issue date (not the day you received the card). Mail in Rebate forms must be postmarked by January 22, 2009. Limit one offer per household. AMEX will also send you a bonus 25% off coupon for any Avis Rental Car (subject to restrictions.)

I did not even think to get these for myself and with the amount of money flying out on Christmas gifts right now, what a great idea to use these to make money and do your shopping! Thanks!
Where do I get the Mail in Rebate? I purchase the cards, but don't see the information.
The rebate form will come from CVS when you purchase the AMEX cards. They advertise that in the flier. Hope this deal works out for you.
