Safeway Doubles Power Pump Rewards

According to Business Wire Safeway has made gift-giving and holiday shopping more affordable by Doubling PowerPump Gas Rewards for gift cards purchased at Safeway stores. The program is available now thru 12/25/08.

How do I get Power Pump Rewards?
Use your Safeway Club Card to get a 10¢ off per gallon PowerPump Reward for every $100 you spend on groceries or gift card purchases. Your Rewards add up, so it’s easy to earn 10¢, 20¢, 30¢, 40¢ or more per gallon in no time! Purchases can be made in a single or multiple transactions. Also earn 10¢ off per gallon Reward for every second prescription filled during the same calendar quarter.
Rewards are added to your Safeway Club card and accumulated every quarter. You can accumulate as many rewards as you want and then redeem them with a single transaction when getting gas. Example: Get (6) $0.10 Rewards within 2 months = $0.60, When redeemed you will get $0.60 OFF EACH gallon of gas you purchase at select BP/Safeway Gas stations.
How do I redeem my Power Rewards?
You can redeem the rewards any time, however the existing gas rewards will expire the last day of every quarter: 3/31, 6/30, 9/30 & 12/31. My advice would be to wait until the quarter is almost over and then redeem all your rewards at once (so you can possibly have $1.00 or more off PER gallon). You can redeem them at any participating Safeway/BP Gas Station (click link and search for gas).

This is an amazing offer that should be taken advantage of, if you have a Safeway near you. Think of all the Holiday shopping we do at the mall, Best Buy, Toys r Us & more. If we were to purchase the appropriate gift cards from Safeway before we do our shopping, we can earn even more Power Pump Rewards and save money on gas. This will work out great for the Black Friday & Cyber Monday Shopping we all are waiting for! Also, for those giving Gift Cards as holiday gifts- make Safeway your first stop and get them there.
